I am planning on buying the car listed above and basically modernizing it. Replacing and installing new engine parts for better mpg and replacing the dash with something better looking along with the electronics in the dash and maybe even having the entire cockpit redone to look more modern. Any ideas at whether or not its worth doing or how much this process might cost?

From experience I can tell you that doing a complete update on an older car is worth it only to the person doing it. If you decide to sell you will not get your money back.

As for the cost, It all depends on what you do and how many things you can re-use or buy reasonable. For what you listed I would say you are in the $7,000.00 to $10,000.00 range for mechanical parts. Depending on source. Interior work is very expensive for custom pieces. That could easily take another $10,000.00 as well

About the easiest way to do this would be to start with the older car and a newer car as a drive train doner, but you need to figure out what fits first. Then go from there. The TC is sort of a loner in the FLM family.
