I have had this car for a like eight months. When I first got it I replaced the battery then just two weeks ago I had to replace the alternator. Ever since when in idle it will run for a bit then chug like it is going to stall out. Any ideas because I am clueless.

Good morning.

Is the check engine light on?

There are many reasons this can happen.

1. Idle air control motor.

2. EGR valve partially open.

3. Throttle body dirty.

4. Fuel pressure regulator leaking and flooding the engine with fuel.

5. Vacuum leak.

All these things need to be checked to see.

If the check engine light is on, have the system scanned at a parts store. It is a free service. Let us know the codes so we can narrow the area of failure.
