In exceleration no power even when you floor it

The car idles good but when you go to excelerate it like has no power even if you pump the decelerator or floor it.

If this is a high mileage engine, I'd have to check cylinder compression, if compression is very poor, You may have a tough time trying to get it to run like you want it, without engine overhaul.

How long since a tune-up? Fuel pressure ok, air filter, fuel filter. Make sure no pressure on system if changing fuel filter. Can you check for applicable trouble codes, just in case there are any?

You can check throttle position sensor, clean throttle-body and idle air.
