That particular vehicle wasn't sold in the U.S. However, the Chevrolet Aveo is basically the same car just badged as a Chevy instead of Daewoo. When this happens with the Chevy version you need to erase the existing keys from the system and program them back into the security system. If the battery is replaced the memory normally isn't an issue, however the battery going flat can cause problems.

Gather all keys for the vehicle, you need at least two keys to program the system.

Immobilizer Programming Procedure
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Install the scan tool.
3. Select IMMOBILIZER PROGRAMMING FUNCTION from the BODY menu.
4. Follow the scan tool instructions with each key until all keys are programmed.
5. Cycle the ignition 3 times as indicated by the scan tool.
6. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position, disconnect the scan tool and test all the keys.
7. If any key does not function, perform this procedure again with all keys.
8. If any key does not accept the programming, replace it with a new key and perform this procedure again with all the keys.
