Idles but cannot give any throttle, it shuts off

Just spent the last few months very carefully taking my car listed above apart to do the front and rear main seals that went out last November and the car has sat. While I had it apart I deep cleaned the abundance of grime out of the intake. I replaced all mounts, EGR valve, VTEC solenoid, exhaust manifold to sport header, both top and bottom o2 sensors, stock exhaust to a sport, replaced the catalytic converter, throttle body and all connected sensors on it, and of course front rear seals oil and coolant new! I didn't do the plugs, wires, cap or button due to they were done not long before I started the tear down. After checking everything numerous times I started it, and it idles. I barely touch the gas pedal and it shuts off. Bad gas? Should I do the plugs and wires? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi:
If it stalls as soon as you touch the throttle, are you sure there are no engine vacuum leaks or low fuel pressure? By chance was the timing belt removed?

Yes the timing belt was removed, but I and another mechanic friend looked and its tdc. If it were one way or the other it would put I off a whole tooth. Only thing I can think may be leaking vacuum is one hose on the back/bottom of the throttle body itself that runs under the intake but its fully on and I checked to see if it seemed to be the issue I took one end off (not exactly smart I know) while in idle and it had no real obvious affect.

Hi,

If you were able to remove a vacuum hose and it made no difference, that may be the hose leaking. How old is the gas? Also, are you sure fuel pressure is within specification? As far as a vacuum leak, here is a link you may find helpful. It explains in general how to locate and repair a vacuum leak.

Try that when it is at an idle and see if there is anything that causes the RPMs to increase.

Also, confirm there is a vacuum at idle to the power brake booster. See pic 1 below.
