I installed a new aftermarket stereo in my car and now the car is not starting

I already tried jump starting it and I checked the fuses. When I turn the key a clicking noise can be heard coming from the hood but nothing else happens. Also, when I was installing the stereo I made sure the negative terminal of the battery was disconnected.

Test the starter motor to see if it works. Elelctrical components can fail anytime and it could be a coincidence that it failed immediately upon doing some work elsewhere. Ensure the security system is not armed as disconnecting the battery can result it it being armed upon reconnecting.
