2005 Hyundai Sonata possible issues

I was driving my car when my car when it konked out. I tried to start the car and it moved about 3 feet before it konked out again. I had it towed and the mechanic said he can not look at it for a few days. Any possible ideas on what it could be?

It could be several things. Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked to see if the engine is getting spark and fuel? Will it start for a few seconds with starting fluid?
