Our Sonata has the following situation. (Only happened a few times lately)

While driving on the highway, at around 65mph, the car seems to have a sudden jolt or "kick" feeling. Almost like the engine shut off and back on. This is only a split second sensation. Nothing occurs on the dash and it is random in occurance.

I had a 97 Dodge ram a few years ago which had the exact same symptoms. A mechanic told me cap and rotor. After replacing them, it was fixed.

Could I have the same problem with the hyundai?

Thanks

Probably not, there is no cap and rotor anymore! All done with distributorless ignitions now. My view is Hyundai gives a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty, MAKE them fix it!

Without an error code. They always say they cant diagnose.

Same thing happened with the Ram. It would happen, I would take it in and it wouldnt give any error code when hooked up. It also wouldnt occur when the mechanics tested it to see what I was talking about.
