2004 Hyundai Sonata Engine stalling while driving

Have had 3 incidents recently when my car just stopped cold--once when I was driving about 45 mph; the other 2 about 35 mph. Check engine light came on only 1 time and then only for a few seconds. 2 Hyundai dealers cannot find the problem because no "code" is showing up. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem?

Hi Sandra Harris,

Without any codes and even Hyundai dealers are unable to find the cause, it would be difficult but we will try.

When the engine stalls, was it easy to restart?

Any abnormalities in the engine operation prior to it stalling? Jerking, lack of power etc.

Any dash lights before and after it stalls?
