Hello my dad has a hyundia sonata and his speedometer has stopped working, he has been told he needs a new gearbox, we were just wondering if it could be anything else as he is still driving his car about, can you help please

Hi there, you may just have a faulty speedo drive unit or a faulty cable if cable driven, these are easy checked & replaced with out removing the transmission.
