My 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe has developed a noise in the front end over the last few months in an unknown exact location. When driving the SUV starts to make a constant rubbing/humming noise. Oddly enough, it goes away when you apply the brakes at all, even very slightly, and also goes away when you turn the steering wheel to the left at all, even slightly. Any thoughts? Brake caliper?

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me.
If you can get it on a hoist (shop) it can be put in gear with the wheels off the ground to closer determine the exact location of the noise.
