Is my car out of alignment?

2004 Hyundai, Elentra GT 18,000 miles. I just recently purchased my car and I found that it was shaking so I brought it in to be aligned. While they were going to alighn it, they found that the back left strut was bent. So they replaced that, but didn't have time to align it. I'm bringing it in, in a couple days to get aligned. In the mean time. Whenever I drive in any type of slick surface, weather its a dusting of snow or a tiny bit of ice on the side of the road. My car starts fishtailing. The back of the car sways from the left to the right, and I feel liek I have no control over the car. I feel like its slipping. But I have brand new Winter tires on the car. Is there something else wrong with my car? Will being aligned stop the rediculous amount of fishtailing?

Yes, and you definitely want to get the alignment done as soon as possible! The reasons are that the two rear wheels are misaligned relative to each other, and this will cause rapid tire wear in the form of "scalloping" to the tire treads, and that driving with badly misaligned tires is inherently dangerous since those tires are getting far less traction to the road.
