When I go to fill up my tank 87 oct. The gas station fuel pump will stop every 1/10 of a gallon.
I tryed diffrent fuel pumps and as well diffrent gas stations with 87 89 93 oct. It will always stop me from pumping fuel fast. What could the problem may be? Thank you

You didnt hook it up right. The brake safety switch will not let you change it out of gear unless hte pedal is pushed and since it isnt hooked up right it wont let you move it.

Ok thanks. Well I went back and fixed it and my break lights were working. They worked for a little while and now it's off again, it's not working anymore. Could it be another problem? Or should I just buy another switch and do it again?

Try another switch if that goes out you may have a shorting wire somewhere.

The same thing happens to me when I fill up my 2000 Elantra. I thought that it was actually the gas station pumps at first, until I noticed that it happened everywhere I went. So I called Hyundai USA at 800-633-5151 to see if there were any recalls on the problem, but there wasn't any. They gave me a case number, and I think that if they get enough phone calls, they will recall the item. All they could tell me is to take it in to the dealer to get it checked. Make sure you have your VIN when you call.
