1993 Hyundai Excel motor just stopped

I have a 93 Excel and while driving home the motor just died. Fuel filter was checked and it is working properly. Motor will turn over but doesnt appear to be firing at all. Where do I start?

Start with determining if there is spark to the plugs. What is the color of the spark, is it strong and is it steady? Next, is there fuel with sufficient pressure to the rail where the injectors are. These should steer you down the right path. Let us know what you find.

It has been confirmed that the timing belt broke. Repair is out of my league! Good friend of mine will replace over the weekend.
