My timing belt broke. Is it possible for this 1.5 litre 12 valve engine that in such situation a piston can hit a valve?
If yes, what is the easiest way to find out whether a valve (or piston) has been damaged?

Thank you.

Yes it is possible to bend those valves, the best way to check this is by doing a leak down test on the valves with a leak down gaugen other easy ways would be to pull off valve cover and inspect valves, pull spark plugs to check 4 damage and try to look down into cylinders with a pen light, look for marking on pistons from valve contact or other debris
