Shakes or Wobbles problem
2002 Hyundai Elantra Automatic 64,000 miles

When I am driving my Hyundai about 20 minutes in to the trip the car starts to choke down when I give it gas, it does it in the afternoon more than in the morning, does it just need a tune up. I dont have a lot of extra money for repairs and I need to know where to start.

Thanks

Has the check engine light come on? Also, at first this sounds like a fuel pressure related problem. Have you checked fuel pump pressure?

Julie:

If the check engine light hasn't come on, I'm going to guess it's fuel related or perhaps the catylatic converter may be plugging. If you need directions on how to check these things, let me know.
