Good afternoon,

There are 3 actuators on the driver side. Go up under the dash on the left side while the noise is happening. Put your hand on each one until you find out which one is making the noise.

Then get back to me with which actuator is making the noise.

Roy

1. Remove the I/P carrier.
2. Remove the left side air temperature actuator (1) retaining screws.
3. Disconnect the left side air temperature actuator electrical connector.
4. Remove the left side air temperature actuator.

Thanks Roy, that was a very fast response I was expecting 24-48 hours. So this is my question, from the photo attached I hear a clicking noise coming from behind left upper center vent. Looking at the diagram in you’re message 1, 2 and 3 being the actuators can you tell me what they are called? Since I’m going to be taking the dash apart I would like to replace all 3 and be done with it. Also does # 1 actuator represent bottom front left of center or is # 2 bottom left of center? Thank you, Jim

Okay, they are the blend door actuator, mode door actuator and the defrost actuator.
