Hi,

The best thing to do is to drain the radiator completely and empty the reservoir. At the bottom of the radiator is a drain plug (engine side). Do this when the engine is cold.

Once you do that, follow the directions I attached below. (pic 1). If you look at picture 2, it provides coolant information when you do the final fill.

Additionally, here is a link that you may find helpful when doing this. Just make sure to follow the specifics in pic 1.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Hi,

I attached the refill procedure and noticed it requires a special tool. It indicates first vacuuming the air from the system and then allowing the vacuum to draw fluid back in. I attached the directions below so you can see them.

Let me know if the radiator has a separate cap. If it does, fill the radiator, gently squeeze the upper radiator hose which will help get air out, turn the heater on high, and start the engine. Watch the level and add as needed before replacing the cap.

Pay attention to the heater and make sure it starts producing heat. If it doesn't, slightly raise the idle speed to approximately 2,000 RPMs and keep it there for about 20 seconds. See if it starts working.

While you do this, keep an eye on the engine temperature so it doesn't overheat.

Let me know what I can do to help.

Joe

See pics below. Note: The procedure listed below is recommended by the manufacturer. What I suggested above may or may not work to get all the air out.
