The car listed above is the LE model. I am needing to know how to wire the fuel pump motor to the wiring on the fuel pump module.
I'm afraid that when I join the wires together that it might short out being in the gasoline.
Watch the video and see if you think this work for me safely.

Hello,

So the pump you got does it supposed to work on your vehicle?
This procedure on the video will work but it will only work if the pump you got is exactly as the one that came out of your vehicle. Which has the same rate of fuel flow, uses same amount of power (amp/volt) etc.
Any variance on any of the specifications could have unexpected results.

I have attached the fuel system diagnostics for your reference.

Let me know of any questions.

Thank you.

The Ebay seller said it will work plus the seller sent me another plug in that has a red wire and a black one.
I was wondering if I splice it want the gas ground out the wiring and blow a fuse or mess up a relay.

Did the seller provide you with the specifications and wiring diagram? Or is it just a simple 2 wire connection?
If you splice it you want to make sure its covered and not exposed to the elements.

Are those butt connectors that are used to splice wires together capable of withstanding gasoline without rotting away from the gasoline? Do they make special ones for this application?
Is there a better way of joining the wires together?

I would suggest using heat shrink over the connectors, which will help isolate the wire better. On that you will simply slide the tubing over the connectors and apply heat, the tubing will shrink and form around your connector.
You can pick up heat shrink tubing from your local auto parts or hardware store.

Can a cigarette lighter work for the heat or some matches because if we are away from home it would be hard to have a heat gun?

Lighter of matches will work. Just be careful not to burn it.
Here is a helpful video of how to use a heat shrink:

Hope this helps.

Thank you.
