Good morning,

Are you still using the single action master cylinder? If you are, then it will not work.

You may need to install a separate clutch master cylinder for the system to work correctly. The original does not have the check valves for releasing the pressure as the dual action cylinders have.

Stick shift for 1961 uses linkage.

You say there are two sides to the master cylinder? The OEM has only one line coming out of it, not two.

That is why I need a picture.

Who added that master cylinder?

That will not work. It is for brakes and not a clutch set up. You will need a separate master cylinder just for the clutch separate and away from the brake master.

In the newer cars, the fluid from the master cylinder for the brakes feeds the clutch master but no one uses a brake master cylinder section for clutch movement.
