Car will turnover and run for two months or more, then simply will not start. After a couple of hours or more, it will start. I have had it scanned and only a couple of minor emissions issues were found. The guy who performed the scan said those issue would not cause the above problem.

He said it could be the starter going bad or the car's computer.

Any thoughts?

Hello,

From what you said it sounds like the starter is not engaging? If this is the case the most likely cause is a poor ground, these cars are know for having an issue with corrosion at the eye connector on the engine block. I would replace this first as it is an inexpensive and easy job and and this issue can cause a random no start condition. And to clarify if the starter is not working the computer can not cause this issue. I hope this was helpful and please feel free to contact us again if you need further help. Thank you for using 2CarPros!
