1992 Honda Prelude 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 250xxx miles

Hi, I'm just wondering why my car surges RPMs when I let off the gas. When I drive and then let off the gas to brake my RPMs go up and down about 2 times.

You have a vacuum leak, get a can of spray gumout, spray the vac lines and maniflod area, when the idle changes, youve found the leak! Or a stuck EGR valve.

Do I spray inside the lines or on the outside? What's gumout supposed to do?

You want the engine running and spray on the outside but do direct the stream onto the hoses, if it is a vacuum leak, the engine idle will change speed, then you have detected a leak, repair the vacuum leak and see how it runs!
