I have a stge three clutch and was wondering on what is the best way to shift. Do I let off the gas or just keep gas in and switch gears. Also In the high rpms when I shift they stay high dont go down is this normal?

Here are a couple tips for shifting:
DON'T KEEP ON THE GAS WHEN SHIFTING!
This will fry your tranny, unless you have a $9k Straight-tooth geared tranny.
Second, if you have a 00 Civic Si, it is normal for the RPMs to stay high when you are shifting at faster speeds. If not an Si, then it sounds like you have a slight clutch slipping problem at high rpm, which is normally caused by either improper installation of the clutch (oil left on it from handling) or there is a rear main leak.
