Hi brian11,
Almost every question is about not being able to shift out of park and you are the first to have a reverse problem.
Possible causes,
1. Shift cable or linkages are damaged.
2. Foreign material lodged in gear shift area restricting movement.
3. Bent or stuck interlock solenoid lever.

I would remove the shift cable and see if you can move the shift arm into park on the transmission, I have seen the shift cable itself cause this issue. It falls apart internally and does not push the transmission parking pawl into place fully.
