2001 Honda CRV Should I get them checked

I accidently went through a red light and when I realized it I put on my brakes, I thought rather hard, but slid all the way through the intersection. Thank God everyone saw me and it was at the beginning of the light change. Should I get the brakes looked at or is this normal for a CRV?

Hi ilovemycar,

I believe the vehicle is equipped with ABS and it should not slide.

Is the ABS check light on while you were driving?

If it is not equipped with ABS, then what you described is normal as you were locking the wheels with the brakes and it would slide.
