I have a 1995 Honda Civic with 187,635 miles. I took my car to Midas for a brake job. Midas told me I needed rack n pinion job real bad. I believed them.
When I picked up my car, I could barely turn the wheel. I had to bring it back. I was told when I drove away, that I sucked all the air out and that's why I could not turn the wheel. When they finally flushed and filled the poweer steering, noticed by airbag light was on. Midas could not fix this. They did a PGM test code diagnostic and determined that Midas should take my car to Honda. If the mechanic did not disconnect the electrical and battery, will ths cause my cable reel assmebly to fry?

Once they realized that they had screwed up your car, they were then forced to fix it. They were at fault with the overtightness of the steering. You are just driving it after they fixed it and did nothing wrong. Now you take it back and have air bag issues. They were working on the steering and did some damage to your air bag wiring. They should fix it or have it fixed and pay for it.
