2006 Honda Civic My car wont go

I was on my way back from school and noticed that when I put my gear at 6 and tap the medal it would rev to 5 rpm already in a fast state and the speed wont increase. Couple minutes later, I was at a red light and when it turned green, I put my car in first and pushed the pedal but the car would not go. I rev it and turned the car on and off but still would not go. I pushed my car to a nearby place. 3 people came to help and they said that they smelled something burning and might be the clutch. How is this possible if I can still start the car?
Honda said that 4 things burned inside and would cost 2,000$. My dad is pissed and the mechanic said I abused it by racing, I havent even raced! What really hapeened to the car?
