Put in new struts mechanic is saying that alignments are not needed?

Hi, I just bought four brand new tires for my car in August, I have only driven about 7,000 miles since and my front two tires are completely bald. I was told to take it back to the place where I got my tires, but once there, they told me that it was because another mechanic did not align my car a few months back when he put in new struts. This mechanic is saying that on Honda Civics, alignments are not needed when struts are put in, but the other mechanic is telling me that an alignment always needs to be done no matter what the car. Could you please tell me which mechanic is responsible and whether or not I need an alignment when getting new struts? Thanks for your help.

Hello,

After the front strut replacement it is recommended to get the alignment checked and adjust if necessary. There is always a good chance the alignment will be impacted after installation of a new strut.
So if the alignment is impacted during the strut change it could lead to premature tire wear.
