2002 Honda Civic Flushing coolant

When I flush the coolant, do I need to replace the thermometer? Do I need to add a chemical flush? How do I bleed the system of air?

Would be a good idea to replace the thermostat AFTER replacing the coolant, yes. I wouldn't recommend any chemical type flush..
