Torque converters and automatic transmissions it not catching any gear it seem like stand my car was in neutral. Transmission wouldn't even go into 2nd gear and as the warmer the engine got or 5 to 10 mile drove then it started not even going into 1st gear. But if I turn off the engines and wait 5m then it working again?

Hi fast797,

From the symptom description, possible causes are :
1. Low fluid level. Recheck the fliud level.
2. Worn or damaged mainshaft. Presure testing would have to be carried out to determine if it is the cause.
3. Clogged ATF strainer. When fluid was replaced, what was the condition of the fluid?
