2000 Honda Civic

The lights were left on in the car when my daughter took the car to school. After school the car had been drained and wouldn't start or respond in anyway. So her friends had cables and gave the car a jump start with theirs. She was able to get home and the car functions properly however the stereo keeps displaing nothing, if you play around with the buttons it says ERROR or depending on the buttion says code. What can I do?

Check the fuses there should be 2 power lines going to the radio. One that keep the stored stations and clock and one that works when the ignition is turned on. What I would do is disconnect the battery. And with it disconnected oput it on a slow charge. With a slow charge the battery will recharge better than a fasr one. Reconnect the battery after charged and see if it still happens.
