My son had an accident with a glancing blow to the front end by an oncoming car. We were worried that the airbags didn't deploy and wanted to know how to tell if they were still present and functional before we fixed the car. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi rtpatterson,

A glancing blow would not deploy the air bags.

When you turn on the ignition switch, a SRS indicator light would be showing in the dash meter. If it goes off after the engnie is started, the system is intact and in working order. If there is any malfunction of the system, the light would remain on.
