1996 Honda Civic over heating

After running 20 to 30 minuets the engine runs hot

Before we get started, check coolant to be sure its full, now I need you to verify that the radiator fan works, you can hardwire it to the battery, if it doesnt come on, thats your problem, but we need to make sure it comes on once the temp gets up, another thing, change the thermostat, it could be stuck closed not allowing coolant to cool the engine, then of course we have the engine coolant temp sensor that monitors temp and tell the computer to turn on the fan, and also runs the gauge on the dash board, so start with verifying that the fan works, go to change the thermostat
