1996 Honda Civic O2 sensor

I had the code read and upstream sensor was bad.I purchased a new one, installed it drove the car for two days and the eng. Light came back on.I took the car had the code read again and the upstream O2 sensor read bad again. Replaced it no change. Is there anything else that could cause the O2 sensor to malfunction.

They did not tell me the code just what the problem was.
