1994 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

Hi! I was just wondering if you could give me any help on a few problems that have me stumped. I recently put a different engine in my car (went from a D16Z6 (Honda Civic) engine out of a '94 Civic to a D16Y8 (Honda Civic) engine that I got out of a '89 Honda CRX. My original clutch was hydraulic, while the clutch with the new engine is a cable. I'm unfamiliar with this territory so I was hoping that you guys could outline the steps I would need to go about changing them? It has been very difficult getting legitimate advice/instructions but I've heard good things about 2carpros.

Hi cabrown1s,

Thank you for the donation.

You have got yourself into something that I hate to handle personally.

There are 2 ways to go about.

1. Reuse the original transmssion and hydraulic system, they should fit.

2. Change to cable which involves :

a. Replacement of clutch pedal.
B. Welding a new collar for holding the cable to the firewall.
C. Ensure the axle shafts are of the correct size and length.
