1993 Honda Civic My Car want start

I cant get my car to start, I put in a new car baterry but I put the battery in wrong the first time, I think because of that mistake I dameged it now it really womt start, the emergency signal lights come on but the main street lights dont come on, and the car honks, when when I put the key in the ignition, and try to start it the car makes no noise, no sound at all, What can I do? Can I fix it myself? Please help me

Inspect and test all your fusible links this is where you start you fried something within the electrical system.
