I had a question I have a 1993 honda civic cx hatchback and it wont start just crank. Need help! The fuel pump doesnt prime and check engine light stays on there is no code store on ecu. The main relay was changed but still no prime. Also I only hear one click from the main relay. Just got a new fuel pump so I know its not going bad. Performed the k-test at map sensor and got 5+ dcv. Dont know what to do anymore any help would be nice.

Hi 210eghatch,

The ECU is bad causing the CEL to stay on when ignition is turned on.

Remove the ECU and check for bad/leaking capacitors, replacing them should get the ECU to work again.

Is there any test I can possibly perform before opening the ecu? I was told that it maybe the map sensor but dont want to replace it if I dont need it.

If the ECU is wrking correctly, the CEL would go of after 2 seconds when ignition is turned ON.

If it is the MAP sensor, it would start if you use the accelerator and codes woild be stored in the ECU. Check if there are sparks at the spark plugs for a start.
