Noises problem
1992 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 100 km miles

hi I have a 1992 honda civic 1.6l brand new engine. When it warms up the oil pressure wont go over 20psi, when its cold its at 80 psi, when I flutter the gas it sounds like a bunch of marbles. At idle it sounds fine. And at 3000rpm it sounds fine. It only does it when I flutter the gas or take of just wondering what it might be thanks

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge-if normal replace the oil pressure sending unit-abnormal-could mean engine bearings/oil pump/clogged pick-up screen/sludge etc.

When I flutter the gas it sounds like a bunch of marbles.

Could be the EGR valve not opening and causing the engine to detonate/ping-does it sound like -when you throw in a bunch of marbles in an empty can?

Idle the engine and start removing plug wires one at time the one that lessen the noise is the trouble area
