1991 Honda Civic Car knocking

My civic started making a knocking noise this morning when I slowed to about 35mph. As I slowed down to stop it slowed with the car and faded away. As I went to accelerate again, the knocking got louder and faster until it faded away at about 40mph. It sounds like its under my hood in the front, but on the driver's sideish. Any ideas?

Hi rferea,

The symptoms described seems to relate the noise with vehicle speed and I would suggest checking the drive axles and wheel lugs for proper torque. Check the brakes as well.
