Noise in front end

I have a 1996 honda accord with 280000km on it. I have been hearing a "clunking" noise coming from the right front end of the car when I drive over bumps. I have taken it into my mechanic and he repalced the CV joint. I am still hearing this noise and I am wondering if it may possibly be a broken shock or strut?

I would take it back to whom ever did the work and as the good old boys say here in the south "make him lick the calf twice" when you get something repaired and it still does the same thing it's the fault of the repair shop. Go to another shop first and get it checked out maybe even two different shops. If you get the same answer from both places, then the guy that first worked on it, should fix it free or give you a refund for labor. Some shops are like going to the doctor. The doctor ask what is going on, and only treats you for what you said. I know I sound like a jerk but the squeeky wheel gets the grease.
