hi, I just noticed this evening that there's a piece of metal hanging under my car, in between the two front tires. Would anyone know what that might be?

I'm not really sure as i'm not familiar with the terminology. I just looked at it again this morning and the end that was hanging loose seems like it has a hole to put a screw to secure wherever it belongs. I know i'm not helping describing the problem but that's the best I can do. I guess i'll just take it to the dealer but i'm just afraid that they might just tell me anything.

It sounds like a braket. Check for any hanging electrical connectors, brake lines, fuel lines or transmission lines.
