My engine light came on. Well I change the oxygen sensor and the weird part about it is that the light is still on. Since my uncle has the same car I check it with his oxygen sensor on my car and the light goes off. Please help! Its a Honda accord 2001 ex sedan 4 cylinder.

Give your uncle your oxygen sensor

Sounds like you bought a defective or universal o2 sensor. TRy another brand, and don't go universal. May need an OEM one.

Were they the same brand?
Were they the universal?
In some cases the OEM is the only one that works with some parts?

The light may go off with his in but did you drive it very far to see if it stayed off? What I was wondering is what are the codes that are pulled?

Well I just purchase the original o2 sensor and the light goes off but the after a minute it comes back on. What could possibly be wrong. Because when I took it for a code reader they said it was the 02 sensor so im thinking of taking it again.

YEAH I WILL DO THAT. BUT WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. WHAT SHOULD I CHECK FOR OR INSPECT MYSELF BEFORE TAKING IT FOR A CODE READER.
