Car starts and revs, but doesn't Move.

Honda Accord 1995 123000 Vtec 2.2l Manual Trans. Just bought car and recently I started hearing a clanking noise coming almost from the wheel weld and also car was kinda wobly when driving. But it was only when I stepped on the gas. Then on my way to work it started wobling violently almost like the wheels wanted to come off, till I heard a small noise and then it happened it just started slowing down. I gave it gas and nothing. It now sits in my drive way. What could it be?
