1993 honda accord lx - about 180,000 - automatic - no sounds/smells, nor leaks

the service light is on.

my question is:
i need to change the negative ground battery cable. Is that something I can do on my own? Looks easy enough.
the clamp is cracked so my connection is so-so. The car gives me a hard time to start at times.I move the cable around, then it starts. I found the part, I just want to know if it's something I can do myself.

seems like an amateur question i'm sure but i'd appreciate your help.
thanks.

Yes. This is a DIY (do it yourself) Task.

Be sure to clean the posts of the battery.

And tight the connectors good

Good Luck!

Should be a very easy job for you if you have basic tools.

Thanks guys. All done.

Instead of replacing the entire cable I had the connector replaced and that seemed to make a big difference.
Doesn't seem to have fixed the entire problem.I'm thinking I might be having starter trouble as well.
