I have a 1990 Honda Accord with 185K on it. The engine keeps cutting out. It would be driving it and the engine would die at the light. It would shake for while and cut out completely. After a few minutes, I could start it up after several tries and can get it home (after several restarts). Replaced the timing belt and pumps, cv joints, starter (all last year). The ignition coil was replaced two years ago. New battery this week. And thinking its a defective alternator, replaced the part twice. Feeling highly frustrated! Was suppose to sell the car and it cut out before it made it to the buyer. As a result, I lost the sale and am stuck with a car that doesn't work. Any ideas?

Lets try this-to nail the ignition switch power the coil direct from the battery-do you see all the idiot lites on the dash? If so fire it up and duplicate the problem. Report back ASAP with your findings.
