Hi there, I have a 2000 Honda Accord 3.0L v6 80K miles I was on the highway when out of nowhere all the lights in the vehicle light up and my car stopped running. I called a Tow company and I was told it was the alternator. I have the new alternator but I have no juice to drive to a garage so I will have to replace it myself. I'm not the best mecanic, so can anyone tell me how to replace it?

Hello,
This could be due to a faulty crankshaft position sensor.
Over time with heat and vibration the crank sensor can loose its calibration and send incorrect data to the ECM. That usually triggers a engine shutdown.
After the shutdown you may or may not be able to restart the engine.

Take a look at this helpful guide.

I have attached the replacement procedure below.

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
