Electrical problem
2000 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My power door locks have been on the fritz for sometime now. When I use the interior switch or the remote, most of the doors don't lock. Sometimes, some doors will lock, but not others. There doesn't seem to be a pattern (ie. There isn't a door that ALWAYS works/doesn't work). There seems to be a better chance of them when the weather is cooler, heat seems to make the issue worse (they almost never lock/unlock when it's hot).

Hi grokdesigns,

Most probably the control unit is faulty.

Where is the control unit for the door locks located? Is there a way to test this without buying a new part first? Also, any good online sources to buy this part?

Thanks for your help so far!

Hi grokdesigns,

This is an intermittent problem so it would not be easy to test.

The control unit is located inside the driver door panel.

If it is with MPCS system, then it is in the intergrated relay located at driver side fuse box.
