I had my Honda's Air Conditioner Checked out by 2 different places. 1 the oil changing place they said I had a Cut wire. #2 I went to my mechanic who has took care of our families cars. He said no wire was cut, there was freon (or whatever thats called) in there, and that the problem has to do with wiring(electrical). Also he did not find a cut wire. Fuses ok too.

Who do I take my car to to track down electrical problems with my air conditioner. Also is it expensive to fix?

Thanks,
Cass

I know what ya mean, it gets irratating when you get different answers. Let me try to help you. I have been a Honda Tech for 15 years. 1st, did your family tech hook the car up to a A/C machine? It can have freon in it, but it could be low enough to prevent the system from turning on. The A/C Condenser, looks like a radiater may have been damaged from road debris. It is in frt. Of the radiater. A small leak may have developed. If you have someone you know w/technecal abilites, w/ the engine off, unplug the A/C Compressor, hook up a jumper wire so it can reach the positive batt. Post. Start the car & touch the wire on positive batt. Terminal to see if compressor to come on. MAKE SURE A/C SWITCH & BLOWER ARE ON IN CAR. Don't leave it on a long time, just a few secounds is long enough. If it comes on, you know A/C Compressor is working. If it will not come on, you have an electrical issue. Let me know how you make out, I may have a manua I can do further research for you. GOOD LUCK !
