Brakes problem
2000 Honda Accord 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 46,500 miles

I had squealing sound from driver rear brake. I replaced the pads with after market from the local AutoZone. I had no problems for a couple of months. Now I hear a clicking sound whenever I brake and after driving the car fifteen minutes. Is it just poor quality replacement pads or might I have made a mistake in my reinstallation?

Usually poor pad quitity results in quck wear, squealing sqeaking knid of noises. Clicking is more related to the pads shifting in the caliper. Other causes may exist such as a groove in the rotor from turning them, but that would normally show up fairly early or right away.

Best have someone outside the vehicle determine which side it's coming from while you are going past them and braking. Once established which side, pull the wheel and get a look.
