1998 Honda Accord Making noise and feels like going over bu

My car will make a noise similar to a small hole in the exhaust when going approximately 25-35 MPH. Sometimes, it will also feel like I'm going over a bumpy road at the same time. Could this possibly be the o2 sensor? I recently changed the spark plugs, and know that they are all working fine. Any suggestions?

Hi sbalduff,

The O2 sensor would not cause such problems.

Is the Check Engine Lamp indicating?

The EGR would be more likely to cause the symptoms described.

Sorry, to sound stupid, but what is the EGR?

Exhaust Gas Recirculation. The EGR valve is located on top of intake manifold at # 4 cylinder. Solenoid is located at firewall, slightly right of center of vehicle.
